01 / 04

Who is on your site, and how they found it.

A small script counts visits as they happen: where people came from, what they read, where they are and what they do. Trafficmend puts your Google Analytics 4 traffic alongside, compared with the previous 28 days.

[01]Live

Counted as it happens.

The live view and the dashboard read the same data, so the visitor you see arrive is the one counted in your totals.

  • 0175 s window

    Viewing now

Anyone seen in the last 75 seconds, plus visitors over the last 30 minutes and pageviews per minute. The live panel refreshes every 5 seconds.

  • 027 channels

    Sources, AI included

Direct, organic search, AI assistants, social, referral, email and paid. Visits from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Copilot and other assistants get their own channel instead of hiding in referrals.

  • 03UTM

    Campaigns

utm_source, medium, campaign, term and content are read from the landing URL. Google and Microsoft ad click IDs without UTMs count as paid.

  • 04Top · entry · exit

    Pages

Views, engaged time and how far people scroll on every page, with bounce rate for entry pages and exit rate for exit pages.

  • 05Geo · device

    Places and devices

Countries and cities, desktop, mobile and tablet, browsers (in-app ones like Instagram and TikTok included) and operating systems.

  • 06Today → 90 days

    Ranges and filters

Today, yesterday, 24 hours, 7, 30 or 90 days, each compared with the period before. Filter by channel, page, country, device, goal and more.

[02]Goals and journeys

Follow a visit to the sale.

Mark the actions that matter, attach revenue, and open any session to see the path that led there.

  1. 01

    Goals without code

Add data-sp-goal="signup" to a button or link, or send a goal from your own JavaScript with up to 10 properties.

  2. 02

    Revenue

Send an amount and a currency code with a goal (USD by default). The Goals card shows visitors, conversion rate, completions and revenue for each goal.

  3. 03

    Visitor journeys

Every session from start to finish: each page in order, with time and scroll depth. A session ends after 30 minutes without activity.

  4. 04

    The live map

A 3D map of your site, one branch per section, with each visitor standing on the section they are reading. It runs in the browser with WebGL.

  5. 05

    A public live card

Publish today's, 7-day or 30-day numbers at a link anyone can open, or download the card as an image. Revoke the link at any time.

Two checks run on every scan: a channel that falls by at least 20% and 40 sessions, and a landing page with 80 or more sessions whose engagement rate is under 45% and below three quarters of your site's average. Both become improvements. The GA4 property is suggested for you by matching its web stream to your domain.

[04]Install

One tag, and you are live.

The crawl, Search Console and Analytics need nothing on your site. Live analytics is the one part that does: a single script tag.

  1. 01

    Paste the tag

Add it to your site's head. It follows client-side navigation in single-page apps, and hash routes with data-hash.

  2. 02

    Check the install

Trafficmend fetches your homepage and looks for the tag with your site's ID, so you know it's in place.

  3. 03

    Watch the first visit arrive

Open the live view. Your own visits can be excluded per browser, and automated browsers are ignored.

Visitors are counted with a one-way hash made with a salt that changes every day (UTC). Earlier days' salts are deleted, so old hashes can't be recomputed, and sessions are stored without IP addresses.

[05]How it fits

Four views, one list.

Each view feeds the next. Search Console clicks decide which crawl and speed issues rank first, and every finding ends up in the same ranked list of improvements.
